-- Posted by Pardon my French at 6:52 am on Sep. 8, 2008 About how great I would want my son or daughter's life to be and how I would do every single thing I could to give them that and how active and careful I would be in my parenting, trying to give them as many skills and tools as I can to help them succeed, and it makes me sad that largely because of how I was raised to deal with life I won't be able to do any of that. Can any of you guys feel what a parent's unconditional love might feel like? I used to never want children, but since being with my bf and having a discussion with him about babies, it changed my mind. I want to be a great parent. I want to teach them about everything early, make sure they know about things such as sex, drugs, smoking etc...instead of them finding out other ways. And I'd want them to come to me to talk about feelings and such, cause my parents never did that. They were more like "Shut up and deal with it".
