You seem to fit the description. I'm trying to work things out myself. If you get help, tell me how it goes.

you can go to a doctor and tell them your suspicions and they do blood tests

When you have Bi-polar, the mood changes are instantly then take weeks to get through. Like I will be depressed for three weeks, then I will be in mania for about four weeks.

It sounds like it could be.. but it doesn't mean it's serious just because it's a diagnosable disorder. It could just be mild and controllable. And it sounds like you are aware of that and are positive about handling it yourself, which is great. Some people don't think of it as bipolar disorder unless it's severe enough to cause problems. But personally I disagree and say that there's an element of it there from what you're describing. Just keep up your realistic efforts and you'll be alright.

you need to have a scan before you can go around claiming to be bi-polar, many people "match the description" but you'll find most of those people are hormonal teenagers

Mild cases can be less defined than that though, and could just be mistaken for mood swings. Often it doesn't need clinical treatment, but bipolar tendencies are not the same as mood swings.

The thing about mental illnesses, disorders and syndromes is that the symptoms are widespread. 'racing thoughts' which I get myself are common in schizophrenia, bipolar as well as other things. No one here can tell you if you are x, y or z, as it could be any number of things and the fact none of us are psychologists, especially when it would be pointless - only a 'shrink' can treat it, especially if you have bi polar which needs medicine.
