I have the com listed in the topic title and i am stumped, i think i uninstalled my built in mic, and i can't get it to work, any help would be appreciated.

What program are you trying to use to record sound? It might just be that you've reduced the sound levels on the microphone. Or sometimes you have to manually select where the source of the sound is from, such as the built in microphone or the microphone/line in jack, etc. Check it in the control panel under audio. Does it usually work without anything else? If it has just suddenly stopped working then it might actually be a hardware fault. It wouldn't usually just stop working without interference (like if you accidentally changed a setting or something).

I FIXED IT. ok the problem was (for future reference when it happens again) i somehow uninstalled the volume control on my laptop. I recent installed and fixed that, well while i was playing with it i clicked mic and not internal mic, well now i fixed it and all is well.
