The future of science.

Discuss.

Edit:  A potentially strong advancement for Science like sliced bread for the kitchen.

This shit can do many things.

its not the future of science.

-- Posted by kingduffy at 9:52 am on Sep. 13, 2008

all it does is super freezes anything, its nothing special

-- Posted by Frubeling at 9:52 am on Sep. 13, 2008

I has seen it, the pipes it was in were covered in ice a foot thick. It was cool.

Not really. It's not all that amazing.

-- Posted by Z o E at 9:53 am on Sep. 13, 2008

is it really?

-- Posted by yodian14 at 9:53 am on Sep. 13, 2008

what?

its not the future of science.

Then what is?

-- Posted by SpM at 9:53 am on Sep. 13, 2008

I wasn't aware it had much application beyond cooling.

agreed

Well, if we can get liquid nitrogen to freeze computer processors we could increase the processing speed of them exponentially.

LHC is the fututre assuming it wont destroy us

im still waiting for everything to run on hydroelectricity.

Liquid nitrogen alone cannot be the future of science.

-- Posted by sadnessness at 10:02 am on Sep. 13, 2008

well its been around for years and nothings happened with it except it being used to freeze warts and verucas.

The real future of science (though it will take time) is carbon nanotubes. Phenominal strength.
that, and fusion reactors.

Look them up if you dont know what they are.
Though they are pretty advanced so it will be years down then line : they are the future

Don't forget superconductors. The infinite energy of a fusion reactor + the efficiency of superconductors = FUCK YEAH

There are so many branches of science that the possibility of anything being the future of science itself is practically impossible.

It turns bananas to glass.

-- Posted by JOZ at 4:54 am on Sep. 15, 2008

all it is is very cold and very cold stuff thats cooler then liquid nirrogen is liquid hydrogen caus its  bout the same weight as air xD so its a liquid but it can like float out the top of containers and it is small particles so it can seep through the containers they try 2 hold it in lol

It might not be the FUTURE of science, but it is definately powerful.

I have seen liquid nitrogen help the good guy in many futuristic movies.  Terminator 2, Demolition Man.. I mean.  If we didn't have this stuff, how else would we shatter people?

Im not sure if the creators of Mortal Kombat really realized what they gave Sub Zero.
