Hardware-wise, Macs are basically Windows PCs with a TPM to allow Apple OSX to run. Same Intel CPU, same system architecture with PCI Express graphics card, PCI slots, northbridge, southbridge, SATA interface, USB, the whole schmeer. Mac's are more media based and thrive with music, movies, well basically more animated/web related types. The PC software is better to create more formal documents and run more games.
