There is no such thing as "the Protestant church as a whole." Roman Catholic Church is the only catholic church. the old catholic church and reformed catholic church are technically protestant, since they do not follow the authority of the pope. oh and just for a fun tidbit of information THe RCC allowed married clergy up until 17th century, and in the next 50 years married clergy might be a possibility. -- Posted by libertine at 10:35 am on Sep. 15, 2008 wellllllllll, if that's how you see things, I DEFINITELY see many other churches as less elitist and more amiable than the roman catholic church.
