I feel really miserable and I think that maybe I should see a doctor but I'm not sure how to do that.
Also, I think that my depression is caused by other things, because I have problems caused by a lack of self esteem ...and probably also paranoia and if I did see a doctor, they would probably put me on drugs and I don't really think that it would help if it is actually caused by something... Also, I'm not sure how I can see a GP, I don't want to tell my parents because I don't want people who know me to know about it and I'm afraid of telling anyone about it so I'm not sure what to do.

I am not going to tell my parents. I doubt that they would believe me anyway. How can I see a doctor...?

Also, I don't trust anyone. I am quite paranoid.

It would actually be better if you didn't go to a GP. Try a specialist, someone who focuses more on mental disorders. See a GP know a bit about all sorts of illnesses. They wont know everything about depression and paranoia. A GP will just prescribe medication. They wont be as helpful or give you as detailed diagnosis. I know because I've seen about 5 different GPs about my depression. They asked a few questions and gave me pills.

I'm suppose to be going to see the guru of mental disorders in Brisbane.

Also specialist will be able to refer you to a good therapist if need be and also work out if you have any underlining issues.

Good luck.
PM me if you need anyone to talk to.

I don't know if you have to have a referral.
Um.... I guess you could do to a hospital and make an appointment to talk with a doctor there. You might have to ask a nurse or reception to point you in the direction. I'll ask my mum tomorrow and reply again. (She's a nurse) I would do it now but since its about 3:00 am she would be asleep.

Maybe search in a phone book or Internet.

How old would you be? If you go to your local hospital I'm more or less certain that you should be able to see someone that day. Doctors wont be able to tell your parents nor can they admit you (if that thought makes you hesitance to go to a hospital) unless you they think that you are a danger to yourself or others.

But yeah I'll post again tomorrow with more definite advise.
