Make another person seem inferior, and on the flip side you've already made yourself look better. The fact of the matter is, no matter how much we believe we are friends with other people, we are still forms of life. I think we should have been able to stomp out that mentality by now though. We've done enough research to know that animals who stick together or are in a pack do better in survival.
