I got it through my school, every student has their own domain thing.  It's there so we can make our own digital portfolios.  Mine in particular is for my teaching portfolio, but we have a main homepage where we can link out to any other pages we want.  I also have this nifty system called rapidweaver which makes making sites really easy, and then all I have to do is publish them to the address.
