I got a call with from the local theatre company I'm involved with asking me to start working with them on their major production at the end of this year. I would be titled as the "Assistant to the director" or the "Director's Assistant"...which one do you think sounds better? Anyway, I'm really excited. It will involve me organizing and helping develop the production as well as working with a class of 30 kids aged 8-15 with performing and developing their characters. The director they've hired also said she will mentor me for the next 3 months, so this should be an excellent opportunity. I'm starting tomorrow, although I can't help but feel nervous. I'm worried that when working with the kids I will do something stupid or cop attitude from the younger ones. I'm also worried that I'm going to get there and be given no work and just stand there like a retard...and what if I don't get along well with the director? Ahh! Panic attack!

Director's assistant sounds better, imo. Good luck for the job! I think you'll do fine. Just stress less, lol.
