So I have the worst periods known to man.

My periods are often 35 days apart, and then they last 8 to 10 days long when I get them.

The flow is always awful... like, changing a super-plus tampon every hour because it's leaking out, going to bed with a super-plus tampon AND the maximum absorbency pad and still major leaks.

Then I'm moody.  And I get pain, cramps, and bloating.  And MAJOR nausea.

My mother had the same issue when she was my age, and she was diagnosed with endometriosis, so she's making a gynecology appointment for me.

I forgot to mention, I'm sixteen.

Sixteen years old and going to visit a gynecologist who might diagnose me with a condition that could render me infertile.

Yay.

And that would be my story.

Don't fret too much, your mother still had you.

I'm very lucky with my periods and I still hate them, so I can only imagine what you're going through. Hugs from me!

Look on the bright side - at least you have a mother who understands what you're going through and takes you seriously. That's far b etter than having no idea what's going on, especially since periods are often such a sensitive issue.

Don't stress about fertility and stuff until you've seen the gynecologist and they've made a diagnosis; worrying does you no good! I don't know much about the condition but even if you do have it, it's obviously possible that you can still be fertile because obviously, you're alive.

Cross bridges when you come to them! Count your blessings for now, and worry about everything else when you need to.
