I worked at Toys R Us last Christmas.  It was *so* busy.  I was bouncing back from every different position you can imagine - from cashier to sales clerk.  It was insane.  Be careful because people can get really vicious around Christmas time.

I didn't really like Toys R Us, which is why I quit.  Yes, the job was a lot of fun and I did work with many of my friends but I didn't really like their policy.  I mean, as a cashier, you need to ask each and every customer for three *add ons*.  I know this might not seem like much but it gets really frustrating when your line is about twenty people long and your customer is in a huge rush.  However, if you don't say it, you'll get written up.

I always remember that my managers used to say: "If they leave the store and their money isn't in our pocket, you were not successful.  You failed.  I don't want you spending a lot of time with customers and being all nice and helpful.  Get to the point and move from customer to customer as fast as you can so we make more money."

I just was completely turned off by the attitude around there because to me, customer service is extremely important and I feel the need to be kind to all customers - which got me in trouble many times.
