people seem to get more mad if someone within their ethnicity/gender/sexual orientation bash their "group" than if someone outside of it does? And don't say that's not true because a lot of times it is, especially with ethnicity (not race, ethnicity). I know it's the opposite with some things.

Because they're bias and want their race/ethnicity to be flawless and the others to be flawed so that one can look superior over the other because people can't see past a collective group and take responsibility for themselves as individuals. Watch white supremacists and black supremacists argue as an example.

Racial supremacism is, actually, quite rare today.
