I posted this a couple nights ago but got no response so lets try again. Can anyone tell me a website or book where I can learn about drums before I buy s set. I want to be able to know if what I'm buying is complete junk or not.

just search for drums in google. try a forum site called Keep Music Alive

Yeah, I don't think you need a book. Just ask a drummer or use them forums.

Personally, i would just go into music shop where someone can tell you about them. That will be more helpful i think as they can recommend good sets.

Mm, you just have to hope they're being impartial and not trying to sell you something because they have it in and can make some money.
