So I'm a highschool junior and take 2 ap classes and I have a 3.9 gpa and I'm on the varsity swim team but apparently my techers are telling me that that is not enough and would like to know what they mean by that... because I really want to go to stanford or yale.. but apparently it is very hard to get into there....

You have to show leadership. Clubs, teams, charities, church etc.

If you're shooting for those two schools. Straight A's, be on a sports team, be a member of a couple clubs, and show some signs of leadership. I.E Leading a club, forming a club, leading a community service project, etc. Oh and a lot of community service hours.

well thats the problem, with lots of ap homework and 3 hours of practice form monday to saturday, there's VERY little room for community hours :(

Is that a 3.9 weighted? Schools really like 4.0+
