And I realized this probably isn't normal.

It takes me about ten minutes to view, say, a video that is five minutes long. That's how long it takes to load the video.

So basically, I watch videos online, having to stop every few minutes to let it continue loading, or I have to step away for like 15 minutes, so I can watch the whole thing at one time.

This isn't normal is it? I realized that my friends could just go to youtube or whatever and click, and it was all there in a relatively short amount of time.

Why is mine doing this? I have 1 gig of ram, and basically, a super computer. What's the deal? Don't have too much issue with internet connections.

how fast is your connection?

If you have 1 gig of ram.... that's not really a super computer lol.

Anyways, I'm guessing your connection probably just isn't as fast as your friends.

Try testing your connection speed here:

http://speedtest.net/

So we can assess how fast your internet really is.

Well, better than normal, I suppose.

I'm with Ju5tin, 1 gig of ram is not a super computer at the least. We have 3 gb, and ours isn't a super computer, even though it might run faster.

It's most likely your internet connection that's doing it, I, as Ju5tin has beat me to, suggest speedtest.net, and then posting your results on here, and we can compare them to the averages, to see if you have a proper internet connection.
If it's the internet connection, phone the company, because if you're using a different internet provider then your phone line it, they might be sending it at a higher rate, which then slows it down completely.
