I'm just curious how many people around my age have never had a job. I'm 19 and I live at my parents house and have never had a job. I've been trying to get one for the past 6 or so months. How about you?

It's not hard to find a job. Fast food joints are always hiring. It sucks, but you have to start some where.

Yes, I've had a real job. The past year, I had three real jobs, even though I was seventeen for part of it. Now I just work very short hours at 2 of them, but may occasionally go in to help at the third (though I rarely have time anyway).

Doesn't involve standing out front of Home Depot.

I chose to get my first job at 16 as a lifeguard. Worked at the same place doing that for over two years. Then when I moved down-state I got a job as a lifeguard again.

19, never had a job. I've worked for money loads of times, occasionally as a kind of labourer for family (Dad's a builder), but never real employment. I was accepted into M&S but quit after training. And got paid. I'm still surprised they didn't take me to court, but, I did have a valid reason.
