Hey, I only use iTunes every one in a blue moon, but I'm trying to import my WMP library to my iTunes library.

I've already done this before, but how do I stop it from making duplicates? It's in the process of converting .WMA to the .AAC, but most of these songs are already in my iTunes library...

You just need to make sure that you don't upload stuff that's already in there. It is a real pain, but you need to go through and select the folders that aren't in your iTunes already and upload them one at a time.

Or, you can go and upload all your music, but in your iTunes preferences, make sure you don't upload your iTunes music folder. However, if that music is also in another folder, copies will still be made.

And then I'll have to do the show duplicates thing and delete the copies?

Yeah, that should work. But it's easier to just go through and upload the folders one at a time, 'cause the iTunes duplicates thing makes you delete the copies by hand and it takes forever!

I hit control and click all the ones I want gone.  Then delete.

It still takes forever though. They need to find an easier way to delete all the duplicates.
