I am in the stressful process of applying to colleges. I want to better my chances of getting accepted. My cumulative GPA for grades 9-11 is about an 86. which isn't totally horrible, but it isn't great. and the colleges i'm applying to probably won't like it. does anyone have any ideas as to how i can "make up" for my low gpa and still make my chances of being accepted good? i'm applying as a music student, a very competitive field. for anyone who's experienced anything like this, please help me. i need answers. thanks so much.

I'm in the same boat. I'm not a bad student, and I'm not stupid, I'm just terrible at math, and my math grade last year brought my GPA down like 5 points to an 89 I guess maybe a lot of clubs and community service type of things to show that you're capable and pretty well rounded. That's what I've got right now, anyway. Math doesn't even apply to any majors I'll end up in anyway >.>
