Well I am sexually active, I hate asking a stupid question, I plan on getting tested so please be kind...

I hate putting this without the anonymous feature but I used mine up today :(

So any who my question is, why on god's green earth am i spotting? It is brown and it has started today. My period ended the 25th of last week, so it has been approx. 5 days since then. It completely stopped then and it is just creeping me out that it started up again..

Is there a reason that this can happen besides pregnancy? Does it sound like I should worry?

I will keep an eye on it but I have cramps and shit too so it is weirding me out.

Help?

It can happen from sex in general, rough sex especially. Have sex recently?

Do you usually have a normal cycle?

Well any kind of sex really can cause small tears, and considering it's brown I'm guessing they are small and not from rough sex.

I asked if you were regular because there are plenty of people who breakthrough bleed but it's usually unlikely after only 5 days.

But yeah that's my guess and obviously I'm no doctor but I'd imagine it's from sex.

Technicallyyyy brown spotting can be a sign of implantation bleeding but I highlyyy doubt it's that considering it takes time for conception to occur, and even more time for implantation bleeding to occur. I believe it's usually 2 weeks after conception, 4 weeks after your last period...so don't freak out. I only mention it just so you're aware.

As was mentioned, sex can cause some kind of spotting.  That's always a posibility.  I mean, even with some fingering, it's possible that you accidentally scratched something.  And you may not feel any pain.

Now, on another note, stress can easily cause this problem, as can change in diet, or other things.  For me?  I've been spotting for two weeks (yes, I'm going to go to the doctor if it doesn't stop, lol), but I'm fairly confident that it's started because I'm increased my physical activity.  Have you done anything physical (like exercise) recently?  That can also play a role.

And all in all, spotting is COMPLETELY normal for any female, regular or not.  It's not something that only happens if there's a problem... some people spot when they are ovulating (Which is approximately two weeks before their period shoult start, which also probably happens to be about right now for you).

So I would give it a bit, this spotting doesn't even make me think that there's a high chance of pregnancy.  Of course the chance exists, but I wouldn't immediately associate spotting with pregnancy right away.  If it does continue for an extended period or time, then I would seek a doctor.  But 2-3 days... is fairly normal.

The thing is I haven't been stressed. I have been having a pretty boring life, stress free and all, I haven't been even excersising since i sit on a computer all day for school.

I am still spotting today, it's just a little odd.
