How the fuck can you afford an EVO?

Damn that sucks. I see EVO VIII go for 25 grand all the time. WIth less than 60k miles.

Evo, WRX, G8, SRT-4..

idk theres plaenty more.

While its debatable how sporty they are, 06+ Impala SS's have been dirt cheap lately. Probably that darned V8 and its 'horrible' gas mileage.

On a side note, I'd go for a WRX or last-gen EVO.

The only problem is they tend to have a much higher record of being thrashed.

Which was another reason I'd suggest an Impala SS, %95 OLD people drive them.

If only they were RWD

They're expensive here, its just some people can afford them.

@OP: Impreza's are like Evo's only uglier.

Evo IX if you can find it with less than 20k miles and no serious work or mods. The USDM Evo VIII was pretty watered down. The Evo X is trash, I wouldn't waste my money on that thing.

If you'd rather go fast cheap, the MS3, Si, GTi might work for you. They all get reasonable mpg, and I know for a fact that my MS3 hangs with VIII's from anything but a dig.

Stop lieing no MS3 would come close to any EVO made in the past 10 years.

What are you looking to spend? I can name off sport sedans all day...

Anything from a roll is a drivers race.

Not stock for stock, but a reasonable match up of mods. All I'm saying is you can go fast for cheap, with alot of very nice cars these days. That and the Evo isnt invincible.

Drag isn't a fucking race, im talking ones with corners, Evos are designed for handling and acceleration.

No MS3 would keep up to an Evo on the track(stock vs stock)

Is that proven anywhere? Not to argue just curious if you actually have any proof

And I agree %100 on the too bad its not RWD for the Impala.

I don't know what your getting all excited about. Drag not being a race is a pretty fucktastic comment, and I don't remember suggesting an MS3 would track the same lap times as an evo, so if you please, shut the fuck up.

If you want to go fast, in a brand new car, for under 23k get an MS3. If you want a 3 year old evo, drop the extra 5 or 6 grand. Either way your getting a lot of car, for cheap.

-- Posted by soldierofjustice3 at 11:00 am on Oct. 4, 2008

Obviously, I'm still talking about a straight drag.

I ani't a fan boy becuase i would be saying the exact same about the WRXs here, MS3 and 6s get fucking pwned by them.

-- Posted by Nite at 6:24 am on Oct. 6, 2008

Lol MS3 vs an EVO from a roll....MS3 should win. FWD has the advantage at that point.

-- Posted by soldierofjustice3 at 7:17 am on Oct. 6, 2008

lol 08 wrx vs 08 MS3 barely counts as a race. Talk about easy kill for the MS3.

FWD has no advantage, not to mention the Evo still has more power.

I was talking about STI but the WRX would still whoop the MS3 to 60.

Maybe your new to the idea of parasitic drive train loss.
