I think it's best only to do so once you've done everything within your own power to deal with it. Then call a hotline for support. Just not at the drop of a hat. Else you earn the derision of the experts.

Call and find out. We can't tell you how every crisis line gauges its calls. Use common sense.

well childline will ascept a phn call about anything from abuse to homework stress

Personally, I believe if something isn't manageable on your own and/or is inhibiting you functioning normally, then you should seek all the help available - call centres and doctors and anythign else! =P Depends on you and the nature of the hotline though.

it doesnt have to be bad at all actually it can be complete bullshit it's free so embrace your resources(:
