I recently brought a MACbook, and it came today. The only thing is, I'm not sure if it's protected against viruses. I know our Wireless has a built in fire wall, but which FREE program is best for now?

Then you are a fool. Its just as easy to write a virus for a mac as for a pc. but seeing as very few people own mac's not many have bothered. There are viruses out there for macs. so anti virus is a good idea

You are very quick to call someone a fool. Im not a mac person. Personally I think they suck. And two, what anti-virus programs do they have for macs?

With a Mac, you chance of getting a virus is slim to none. There are not many out there for Mac, this is one of the many reasons i prefer Mac OSX to Windows However, McAfee has AntiVirus for the Mac. I don't believe it is free, but McAfee is a good company, and I would reccomend them if you are looking for virus protection

As has been said, there are not many viruses out there that affect Mac computers, but as they are becoming more and more popular there will be quite a few soon. However there are some Mac anti virus programs out there, click here to see them.

I know that norton do an anti virus for mac, wudnt reccomend it tho. A decent and free anti virus for mac is clamxav, but macs don't really get that many viruses due to their sall user base and security patches.
