I am Schizophrenic, but I never, ever have told anyone about it. The world is very non-understanding and judgmental of people like me because of the way movies, tv shows and the media have portrayed us as evil and dangerous and retarded and all that shit, and it really makes me very angry. Pretty much the only people in the world who know about my disability are my parents and my doctors, even my school doesn't know about it because I see private therapists. I have never dared tell my significant other or my closest friends because i know what will happen, but I think going through my whole life keeping a secret locked up inside is going to destroy me.. I literally just lie awake for hours at night thinking about it because it bother me so much

If it bothers you so much tell them. remind them that you have never done anything to harm them before and don't have a reason to start now.

How do your friends not know?  You likely would have had your other personality show up at one time or another...

Most people figure really fast that something is wrong with me, but they just think I am a "crazy litte fucker"..

You're thinking of multiple personality disorder.
Schizophrenia is basically a loss of touch with reality.

Find out who you can trust

i really am proud of you for speaking up about something so difficult that you are dealing with. its important to let the truth out once in a while. but i really think that, if you want to be totally trusted by your signifcant other and your friends, that you tell them. dont make a big deal about it, but let them know. since you are getting the help you need, it should be controllable. i admire your courage in saying something. schizophrenia cannot be completely cured, but you can control it and lead a very normal, active life. i hope that you can also find the courage to let those close to you know. it will be important to them and if they truely are close to you they will want to help you and encourage you.
