How exactly is it more dangerous to cut "down the road" than across the street?
-- Posted by Seanee at 10:38 am on Oct. 5, 2008
Down the road you mean, down your arm right? Not some street.

it all depends on how deep... but down the road makes it so that your vein can't be repaired... which is never a good idea...

Because you might cut right down a main artery and therefore bleed faster? I don't know, I never quite understood these self-harm sayings.

the veins in your wrists/arms run vertically, not horizontally.

It's down the river or across the bridge haha but if you cut down you're more likely to cut a vein all the way down across you just get a little bit of it

going down you can split more then a little part of the artery if you do at all going across so your more likely to prob kill yourself doing it

Just think about it for yourself. They are both as dangerous as each other. Cutting down your arm means that its a bigger cut, could be deep, could get a vein or somewhere vital like that.. therefore you bleed more. Cutting across the wrist means that it could be a very very deep cut, which could reach your artery.. then you could bleed to death in seconds.

because it's cutting down you're vains, and all you're blood would come. So you would like die in a matter of seconds if you cut straight down the vain, that's why it's more dangerous

also bleed faster, so down the road is an easier/faster/more likely to die from. Assuming usually emos cut across the street to have the scars or w.e ?
