One of my power windows goes pretty slow, and makes a scraping/grinding sound when going up.

Its the passenger window, so I dont really use it, but it scares me that someday I will forget to ask someone to not put their window down, and the window just wont go back up.

The only thing I can think of doing (short of taking the door panel off) is spraying some lubricant down there and seeing if that helps.

Would that be a good idea, or would that be a plan that could somehow go horribly wrong?

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't most power windows have a lock button, where by once it is locked no one can do anything to the windows?? Try using it.

The retarded thing about that button on my car, it also locks the sun roof, and my window. Not just the passenger side window.

So I dont really leave it on. But that is something I should try to remember to enable when someone else is riding in the car.
