so i went dress shopping with my friends today as we have an 18th house party on sat and we wanted to get dresses. we all picked some out and i got into the changing rooms in a happy mood then started to undress to try on the dress and was greeted by row upon row of cuts and scars. the ones on my legs were hidden ok but the ones on my arms were in full view as the dress was strapless. i nearly had a panic attack there and then. my friends know nothing about my depression or SI and i just about managed to hide it. no-one said anything or looked at me funny but it put me on edge for the rest of the day and i couldn't go back to being happy. grrr sometimes i really hate myself for doing this to myself and preventing me from having fun with my friends. god knows how i am going to hide them and survive the party next week.

Why not buy a bolero like this but a long-sleeved one http://www.essentialstyle.co.uk/shopimages/products/normal/Satin-Bolero-425.jpg
