What kinds of things have you been called?   Have you lost any friends or been 'disowned' by any family because of your drug use? Has your health and/or intelligence been put into decline since you started using drugs? The only kind of hostility I, personally, have ever come to face with for my drug use is by members on this forum who are against using drugs and choose to be outspoken about it. I have been called 'idiot', 'stupid', 'hippie', 'pathetic', the list goes on. But, again, only by people on here. Most of those people have never spoken to me before, and some have spoken to me, gotten advice from me, etc and been kind up until they found out I use drugs. I haven't lost any friends, or had any ties to any family disrupted because of my drug use. The family I have that knows I use is very supportive of me (no, not all of them use, either). They are supportive because they know that the drugs that I use have not only shaped who I am, but they have improved my overall health, and helped me cope with several disorders and health issues that I have (in that those problems have improved since I've started using drugs). My health has, as far as I or any of my doctors has seen, not been negatively affected. And I have only become smarter and more eager to learn as I've gotten older since starting using. Your turn, if you're willing. Edited to add: Nevermind what was here before. If any anti-drug people want to take swings at me, go right ahead. My parents obviously disapprove of my marijuana use but only because they dont want me to go to jail and I have been very close to being arrested before. No one else in my family knows except for one cousin but he doesnt care.   I believe my weed usage has made me more intelligent and more open-minded. I had a friend who was failing school before he started smoking pot. Yes, I know quite a few people who have started using, and have then become more attentive and as a result gotten much better grades in school. He smokes before he studies/does his homework and says he can concentrate better. -- Posted by OMGalice at 6:41 am on Oct. 10, 2008 i had a few people not be friends with me because of it but it really didnt bother me at all and lots of parents hate because they think im a big drug head but thats about it and it doesnt stop me from doing it -- Posted by justbadnews at 7:56 am on Oct. 10, 2008 in general, i feel that my peer group looks at me as nothing more than a druggie. unless people bother to take the time to talk to me, they have it all built up in their brains that i'm a dumb druggie. my parents don't have a problem with me smoking weed other than that it's illegal and they worry about me getting arrested, so they frown upon it a little but only due to the law. my brother and sister are suck and think i'm a horrible person for smoking weed. my friends usually don't mind, even the straight edge ones. and my boyfriend is my number one smoking buddy :D
