A good way to help the Economy of the World would be too. Allow Marijuana to be grown and sold. This is a whole new industry that could help the economy. End Prohibition of Marijuana.

-- Posted by Cily at 1:38 pm on Oct. 10, 2008
I was saying exactly that just a few days ago. Except instead of just marijuana, we could grow other things too. widen our horizon.

Yes it could. Just tax it. They might be doing that im my province.
-- Posted by scotttyyyboyyy at 1:40 pm on Oct. 10, 2008
Wow ive never found myself to agree with sunnysky until now..according to studies..5-10 percent of americans smoke depending on the state..If it were legalized, it could be taxed like tobacco and alcohol and make a lot of money, it would also help destroy organized crime and the black market in america atleast partially
-- Posted by Disposition at 1:40 pm on Oct. 10, 2008
Maybe then everyone would chill out and not yank their money out of the ever-plummeting stock market! :]
-- Posted by Windrunner at 1:41 pm on Oct. 10, 2008
Yeah because after legalizing weed the only possible result would be everyone 'tripping out' 24/7 so they couldn't work..... I don't really think that legalizing it would help that much. It would definitely help some, it could just be sold like the other legal recreation drug (alcohol). But because it is fairly easy to grow, people could just grow their own, or else grow and undersell the stores.

for jobs like doctors, builders, anything requiring massive thinking yes it wou;d, but to the millions of americans who push carts and flip burgers all day, no, those jobs require little thinking lol

After prohibition the economy didnt collapse or even stutter because alcohol was legalized, most people are responsible and realize the right time and the wrong time to drink and smoke

Marijuana also has many non drug uses also.

Or they'll get REALLY paranoid. They'll have to start a new index--one that tracks the five remaining corporations in the world. The OHSHT lost .00005 points or 30% today as the last corporations on Earth prepare to file bankruptcy. IN OTHER NEWS: The New York Stock Exchange was hotboxed again. . .

*joins in* oww anyhoo enough of that madness umm yeah, if it was legalized, its not like everyone would just sit and home smoking a nice joint, just like only a small percent of people sit at home drinking all day long. The majority of people would enjoy it as they enjoy alcohol, except not as bad, cos weed doesnt make you act like a cunt :D
