The body just flat out amazes me.

How the body has adapted to child birth.
How soft spots of a fetus work.
How bones grow.
How certain cells attack stuff coming in your body. How cells go through mitosis and apoptosis.

Maybe its just me, but this shit is fascinating.

Does the body and the stuff it does naturally just amaze you? Or is it, "hmm.. ok?"

No its not just you.

When you think about, everything around us in general is really fucking remarkable.

How it all just "happens."

and yes, I agree.

I know, especially the female body.

When I realized that my body is already fully prepared to give birth and already knows exactly how to do it and nurture a baby, it's crazy.

It's like my body has been holding out on me.

its just amazing.

I went deep into A&P in my college classes.  The human heart is what really amazes me.  Automaticity is crazy.

I though of Gisele Bundchen when I saw the title...but yes, I agree.

-- Posted by ohhithere at 2:54 pm on Oct. 10, 2008

No, it is amazing. I just don't really reflect on it...

What I find amazing is how strong it is. Have you ever seen someone fall and hit their had SO HARD, you'd think it would have killed them on the spot, next thing you know they're up walking? I think that's amazing. I know that's kind of different, but still...

Yeah I feel the same way.
When we go over cell structure I think it's amazing how we have all these tiny tiny tiny little things inside of us keeping us alive.

The body is amazing. A fact I find interesting is the regeneration of the liver to full functionality after a living donor liver transplant. From even 25% left, it can regenerate and be fully capable.

It is indeed pretty amazing. I'm fascinated by how everything works.

Ah, the beauty of intelligent design.

I study medicine and it amazes me every day.

I've poked around (half) a dissected human head and rooted around in some torsoes. Not only is the textbook science stuff almost unbelievable in its complexity, but to see how it all works out as organs in a body is just unreal.
