for my year they said that after i fill it out i will get information or it will start working or some shit by january i just want to get it over with

FAFSA, also known as Free Application for Federal Student Aid is exactly what it says.  Federal Student Aid is financial assistance that's available through the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Federal Student Aid.  The aid covers school expenses (tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation).  It can also help you pay for a computer and dependent childcare expenses.  There are three categories of federal student aid: 1) grants, 2) work-study and 3) loans.  For more information on FAFSA you can go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
