I ran a Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor to see if my pc can run Vista. It can, and my Dad's willing to pay for it.

I'm not sure whether I should get it now, or wait until I can get a completely new computer. Next year I'll be studying IST at school, so I'll probably need a fast running computer for that.

Thoughts?

Just get a new computer, one that has much better specs.

Personally, I don't like Windows Vista.  There are so many bugs with it still.  Stick with XP, if you want my opinion.

Wait till you get a new computer.

Unless the Vista upgrade adviser gave you perfect marks.

The only problem was that there's not enough room on my C drive. It said that I can alternatively use the D drive though.

If you will be needing a new computer sometime soon just keep what you have.

Vista is decent on a decent PC, not as bad as many make it seem.  But, wait if you will be getting something new soon.

Back up your data on the smaller drive, install on the bigger drive.

But like I said, unless you have a dedicated video card, decent processor, and 1.5-2gb RAM, then you might as well wait. You wont get any of the effects.

Wait for the new computer. Your not gaining/losing anything by waiting and keeping XP.
