I worked once in September at a reception hall as a dishwasher. I don't know if I'll ever be going again, if they'll only want me if they're in trouble when an employee can't show up or I haven't been called because of nothing special happening (wedding, parties, etc.) Should I put it on my CV anyway even though it was only once? Should I put only that date that I worked or September 2008 - Present?

Def. Not 1 day. Maybe Sept - present, but I don't recommend to lie on ur resume...

It depends: What are you applying for? It it doesn't directly relate to the job in which you're applying for, I wouldn't include it, especially if it was a one-time-only, thing.

Any dates you put on your resume should be able to be verified to some extent. If the company you're applying for calls this company and asks when you worked there, what do you think they'll say? If you think they'll say that you were only employed for a one-time job in September, then I'd leave it out.
