-- Posted by espresso8097 at 4:47 pm on Oct. 19, 2008 My video card decided to die today at random.  I wasn't even playing a game.  Now I need to buy a new card to even use my desktop (no integrated graphics). At least now I have an excuse to upgrade from a 256mb 8600GT to at least an 8800-series. The problem was/is with my mid-ATX tower.  Was actually looking for an excuse to get at least an 8800, but didn't quite have any compelling reason to spend money on it, until now. My new monitor came in today (22" LCD widescreen).  So I am using it with my Net-book (acer aspire one).  Amazing, got 1024x600 (9in screen) on my left and 1680x1050 on my right.
