My job interview is today and well I've worked at Baskin Robbins before and I loved it.. even though the management was bad.. but I love serving costumers. Answer their questions with firm answers. Don't answer them too quickly, or too slowly. Just flow with the conversation as if you were speaking with them outside of that context. It seems difficult, but really, it's easy when you get there. -- Posted by dreamweaver at 9:40 am on Oct. 20, 2008 Dress up as good as the management staff (usually that's the normal khakis, nice shoes (dress shoes), and button up shirt with tie- tie is optional if you can't find one). Most people say dress up for the position, but for fast food places and restaurants, I find that dressing up like the management staff actually more helpful- think of the commercial with the guy and the pirate place. Be calm. Try to keep nervous habits at a low. Practice what you think they may ask you at the interview beforehand. Be prepared for questions like, "What would you do if a customer tells you that you gave them a $1.10 back when you owed them $0.65 for change?" and "What would you do if you're out of one flavor of ice cream which the customer REALLY wanted?" Come up with some ideal questions and be prepared to answer them. Also, this seems to be the one thing I usually forget to do myself, always take a copy of your resume with you. This is mainly for your reference. And the last thing I can remember... SHOW UP 15 MINUTES PRIOR. This is their first impression of you, and showing up in time is a huge bonus for them and is most likely the first thing they look in a potential new employee. Be prepared for anything- if your car is crappy, either borrow a better, more reliable one, or leave earlier and be prepared with any backup plan you can think of. Saying that you disliked the management doesn't look too good (I NEVER want to hire anyone who had problems with management, even if they weren't his fault). Well first of all my job interview went very well. The girl who interviewed me liked everything I said. She was alright with me saying that there was bad management and she told me to explain, so I did.. and she didn't think I was negative.. in fact she told me that she understood. I tried to seem like an up-beat dude and I think that's the message she got because we were both smiling a lot during the short interview.
