i got a job as a waiter at an italian restaurant in the bronx and i'll be making $10-15 an hour including tips, with $5.50 being my actual pay. i want to buy a new car. how do i apply for a 4 year car loan and what's the most i'll get? i haven't paid for anything really so my credit isn't bad or good, i haven't even barely used my credit card. so i'm wondering if anybody's applied making this amount and how much will i expect to receive for a 4 year car loan with about $2k in the bank in my name at this time? thanks

How large of a loan do you think you'll be needing? That seems like a major question that you didn't answer. 4 years really is not a long time to pay off a car (especially a new car). Aren't most cars paid off in like 10 years? Are you looking to trade in or have someone (a parent) cosign for you? Not having much credit to you doesn't probably put you with a very good credit score, which means your interest will be higher (thus, payments will be higher).
