is really, REALLY itchy (and i shave completely and i know there's no bugs) kinda dry and hurts. ESPECIALLY AROUND THE VAGINAL OPENING AND CLIT. problem?

Use vaseline. Next time you shave, don't get so much shaving cream/soap inside the lips and don't rinse it out so much. Never use anything on your vagina that you wouldn't put in your eye.

Herpes? I've never heard of a dry vag if it was a yeast infection it'd be the opposite of dry. See your OBGYN

It sounds like yeast infection. Do you have thick discharge? Yeast infection is easily treatable with an over the counter cream. But it's a good idea to go to the doctor's first just in case.

If it's dry, it means you've washed all the natural oils and lubricants away. A little Vaseline and it should be fine by the morning.
