I want mine. My whole life I've been doing it the "right" way. Going to school, staying out of trouble, yada yada. But I have nothing. I'm still in the ghetto, going to a rich school. I have nothing to show for my hard work and smarts. But drugs and gangs, that's where the money is. I'm streetsmart and book smart, and that would come in handy. Plus, I know the business. It'd be some good quick cash. I'm seriously out of options. I kind of want to be talked out of it, but I also don't really give a flying rat turd what anybody else thinks.

Explain to me how you're out of options? When you're still so incredibly young and have your entire future to make money. Yeah right now you have nothing. But that's why you're in school working hard to get out of your current situation, right? How old are you? I grew up in a shit area too. One of the worst, if not the worst, in my city. You know the story. Anyway, I do completely understand where you're coming from. It's shit having nothing, growing up with nothing and struggling your way through life with nothing until something better comes along. I'm not going to rant and rave and try to convince you to continue doing things the "right" way. You do what you want. But I get the feeling from this topic, especially from where it's placed and your last sentence, that you don't fancy getting involved in drugs and gangs at all. I get why you're sick of your current situation but there are many ways in which you can change it. You know getting involved in all that is risky, else you wouldn't have posted here. So what's wrong with hanging on a bit, waiting for a job opening, etc.?

I'm fourteen right now, but I easily pass as 17. I don't know what to do. I actually don't really want to get into drugs and gangs that much, but an extra few hundred bucks would really help my family out. Plus, I do want more from life, and cash is the only way to get it. I'm seriously confused and conflicted. That's why I came here. I want to hang on, but I also want to be like "forget this".

Darling, you are 14, and selling drugs and doing all this is not the way. Do you know how you can "get yours"? You continue through school, you work your ass off for good grades, and you go to college. You get a scholarship to the best school in the nation, and you show people that you can overcome poverty. I know how you feel, I'm lower middle class, and I hear some of my classmates talk about how they're wearing the latest 600 dollar shades, and it's like, "Are you kidding me? That's some bills, that's a couple of car payments, that's this and what." Because I've never had a lot of money, you know? But I don't let that hold me back, I still do the best with what I have. You get your education, and trust me, it will lead you places you never thought possible. go and start gangbanging and see what happens, huh? that's how so many of our young kids get killed, sent to prison, their future. Cash isn't the only way to get ahead, it's your knowledge. Money can easily make you fall behind as it will advance you, love.
