I'm going to be trying to change my look a little, and I've always wanted one done, so I'm wondering how much it hurt, where you got it done, and how much it cost... Any advice would be good. It doesn't cost much more than a normal ear piercing, and the pain is minimal. I was told to (and did) get in done professionally. (As in a tattoo parlor). I heard stories from friends and even knew of someone in school who went about getting it done with a piercing gun and eventually had to get surgery because the earring was inserted wrong. I paid under fifty dollars and I don't remember it hurting much, though he did tug at it, which wasn't at all pleasant.
