So I bought Defender Pro 2008 15-in-1 and thank goodness I read reviews before opening it. I just went ahead and purchased it because I didn't want to go back to the store. But now, I have to anyway. So I'm probably just going to stick with Norton and get Norton Internet Security 2009 or be cool and get Norton 360 2.0. Have you tried these three programs? Comments? I believe the Norton ones are relatively new. Should I go with McAfee? McAfee Internet Secuity 2009? Or be cool and get McAfee Total Protection 2009? So: Norton 360 2.0. $80 VS McAfee Total Protection 2009 $50. Is that $30 more worth it?

I have Norton 360 and tbh the extra parts of it are rubbish for me like the defrag and the cleaning of temp files as i do that anyway so i don't use them features I've used the back up which is quiet good but it encrypts it all so you have to use Norton 360 to restore files, but encrypting could be good. So like if you do backups manually and clean your temp files etc just go with Norton Internet security 09

vs http://www.kaspersky.com/kaspersky_internet_security I find this piece of software great, good detection and smart filters. It learns as it goes along, detects viruses which aren't in the database, good spam filter for Outlook too. They send updates out more than once a day, response time of an hour to new viruses. Used it for a year, best money I spent on software in a long time, run our three computers on it.

out of them both mcafee is better, but i would highly recommend either nod32 or kaspersky. BitDefender used to be good but when i tried 2008 it was too bloated. http://anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

Seriously? I'm running free AVG. No problems. Get a decent free firewall and run firefox with addons like WOT to prevent sketch sites from loading. You'll be golden and you'll save cash. Running the right combination of free anti-virus/firewall and browser addons can eliminate your need for expensive protection software.
