So as this Halloween approaches, I have two costume ideas. Either Dave Chapelle dressed as Samuel L. Jackson dressed as Samuel Adams, or a terrorist from Team America. Now, I'd rather be Sam Jackson, but I don't really feel like taking a trip to either the hospital or the police station after someone takes exception. Now, would someone please explain to me why it's offensive for me to dress up like a black guy? I don't care if Chapelle wears white makeup and acts uptight. It's funny. Maybe I just wanna yell about some motherfuckin' beer, and costume requires that I look like a black guy. Is that wrong? EDIT: By the way, I am the whitest of the white. It's bad.

It's not like I'm trying to be stereotypical. I'm being a specific person.

That is a risky costume... because of the power of the statement behind it. however, if you pull it off right... or more importantly, if you pull it off wrong... You should do it, if that is what you truly want to do.
