So I was thinking about my fafsa for next year and while I live somewhere else, my parent made a good bit of money this year. Above 60k. Last year when I filed a FAFSA, not that much money was made. No where close. And so my pell grant was almost max. And to mention, I didn't have a job. And im literally trying to push every penny to its max right now. My parent doesn't help me out one bit. Not a dime. So is the government going to give me a lesser pell grant for 09-10 because so much more money was made even though Im benefiting nothing from it?

only if you are a dependant of you parents. if your not a dependant, then the only income they go off is yours i think.

If you arent a dependent, then you should file by yourself, I believe. Which would show mistake on the OPs part. Im probably wrong though.
