I am 17, 5'7 ((I think I got that right, it is 5ft 7)) and I weigh 170. I always feel disguisting! But before you guys get all "your a fat ass" on me, it's not like I am a flab bag! I have muscle, I work out. I just feel gross all of the time! I am even vegetarian, and I cannot seem to lose weight. I am seriously considering anorexia. I don't wan to, but I don't really know what else to do. All of my friends always tell me that I am beautiful and I shouldn't think this way about myself, but I can't help it. I won't even go out with anyone. Any advice?

Anorexia is not a weight loss method, it's a mental disorder. Don't be a fucking idiot. Find a sensible diet plan that isn't going to destroy your metabolism and leave you half dead and stick to it. If you want advice on that then fine, but leave the anorexia bullshit at the door.

u need to work on your self esteem before you do anything.. because you have to like your body in order to meet guys and feel good about yourself at the same time.

The vegetarian part is part of your problem. It is possible to have a healthier diet that way, but only when you supplement with lots of vitamins. If you're a guy I'd say you need to eat some meat. If your a girl, I'd suggest running for a bit every day.

Portion control, and don't give up being a vegetarian, I actually went to a nutritionist and she told me being a vegetarian is healthier than eating meat. There are other ways of getting protein from foods. Also, excersize I cannot stress that enough, even if it's just taking an hour walk/jog a day it's good to stay active.

Find a friend who works out hard. do what they do and don't stop even if u feel dead. Join a sports team. and fuckin eat. I am on a 4000 calorie diet and wrestle for 3 hours a day.

I'm a girl, and i have been vegetarian for like, 3 years. I know the facts and how to eat healthy, and I do. I go to the gym everyday before school for 2 hours.

u should lose at least 20 pounds then. start exercising and maybe change ur diet. being a vegetarian probably doesn't give u the nutrients u need for ur muscles

Do cardio. That's what gets rid of the most fat the quickest. Crunches and ab workouts or any other weight training or repitition training are to build muscle. Do NOT become anorexic! Not eating makes your metabolism go to shit. It'll slow and as soon as you eat, you'll gain anything you lost by not eating plus more. Run, bike, swim, or something else for atleast 30 minutes a day and take in less calories than you burn off. Go to Mypyramid.gov for an eassy way to find out how many calories you should eat daily.

Okay, I obviously left some things out and didn't make them clear enough. I AM a girl, and I go to the gym every morning before school for 2 hours! And I don't eat lunch because I am at school ((if you have seen that stuff you understand)) and I eat really healthy. I don't drink soda or any of that junk! Just water pretty much!

yo supposed to eat 5 small meals a day, that's what I do. and jogg some and do some chruches before you go to bed and when you wake up.

I don't have time for 5 small meals a day. I get up at 4am and jogging then to the gym. ((I have a small breakfast first, usually fruit)) then I go to school, then I go to volenteer or work. Then I have hw.

You think you can reach a certain weight and decide "oh, okay, I think I'll stop being mentally ill now"? Anorexia nervosa =/= starving yourself, and starving yourself =/= a good weight loss strategy.

I'm not saying that I am going to be all, "I'm never gonna eat again!" Just that if I cut meals out it will give me time that I presently don't have. I was lucky today, I have a day off and no homework.

How many calories are you getting a day, and what are you eating? Is your obsessive exercise mostly aerobic?

1,000 or less....most likely less. And now. I do a yoga class, but I also run and take weight lifting at school and do that in my free time. I am ridiculously active, but it is not helping!

You've probably hit a plateau as a result of seriously under-eating. Never heard of the starvation response?
