There are students in my class that talk loud before class starts, so I tune them out by listening to my music. And then they look at me rudely...when i blast my mp3 player. Am i being rude?

Yes. Regardless of what they're doing, if you interfere in their conversation with your music, you are being rude.

But they speak loud and that's annoying.

Technically, yes. Just a little. But they're being rude in the first place, so you're square anyway. =p

Not if you aren't sitting with them, if you were just minding you're own business in the first place then why should they care? But if you're sitting with them, or you keep looking at them with a shitty look on your face then I guess so yeah. People like to talk. Some louder than others...

Nope, your being an individual. You shouldn't have to listen to there conversation, it doesn't concern you so why should it concern them? It sounds to me like those guys are just a couple of immature little kids, just throw them crazy and ignore them. They will get the hint eventually.

nope

If you're trying to completely drown them out and really blasting your music, that's a little unnecessary. If they're talking loud and you're playing your music loud, no one is in the right.
