I'm alittle supriesed that Boston signed Wakefield again, he was less than dominate last year. However, they did not sign David Ross, Jason Varitek and Alex Cora. Boston, if you give the over the hills Wakefield another season why not your captain?

If they re-sign Varitek, it'll only be for another season, at most.

Jason's catching ability and leadership role would be more valuable than his hitting even if his averagage was .093

THats what I'm talking about, that rare skill and his leadership ability outweighs his offensive flaws
