So I am majoring in paralegal studies. Im very interested in working in criminal law- but as a paralegal in a small town, my choices of jobs when I get out are limited to work in that kind of law office. The idea of being an attorney is in the back of my head. Im in debt already for school so the debt doesnt really bother me(whats a few more 0's added on?) My mom told me if I wanted to go to law school she would help me any way possible if its what I really wanted. Should I do it? I start my paralegal courses next semester, and if I decide to go on I have to get a bachelors in something else besides law... so any comments on what I should do?

A paralegal is a great route if you want to pursue being a lawyer.
Paralegals are getting hired at a higher rate than lawyer because of less pay yet can do the same sort of job as a lawyer.

Although most companies and law firms will hire paralegals and help them succeed or have them go through law school while working so they pick up experience and become the highest within the field.

Paralegal is a good starting point.. although most people try for the highest...and finish school. (law degree)
