He's not actually racist, but he can be totally stupid and really clueless sometimes. He's doing it as a joke, but what he doesn't understand is that they are not going to take it that way. There are a lot of black people in our school, and I'm pretty sure if he really does this, he is going to get jumped and get his ass beat. Now, I know some of you are going to say he deserves that, and he probably does, but I care about him and I really don't want to see him get hurt over something he considers a joke. I've tried to warn him off it, but he won't change his mind. If he is really close to you, maybe if you really tell him the reality of his actions he'll listen to you. He shouldn't be trying to impress people by putting himself at danger. Try explaining that to him. If so, slap some sense into the guy. If not, I wouldn't worry too much. The first guy he shouts it at is gonna yell at him a lot or, at worst, give him a beating. He'll prolly get the point, go to the ER to get his cuts stitched and never do it again. You can always cross your fingers and hope he chickens out, too... If he can't listen to you, then the best action is to involve his mother. It'll perhaps keep him safe in the end. BTW, I honestly doubt he'd get killed or anything. The worst case scenario is that he'd get jumped and his ass would get whooped pretty hard.
