OMG I hope I don't have to ride with my mom for a whole hour or more anytime soon again, with just us two in the car, because she feels it's her place to try and make me feel as if my boyfriend isn't good enough for me.  She always tries to make it feel as though I'm just being used.

WTF??!?!?  I'm NOT.

He's not going to see me much when I'm home and instead hang out with his friends...SO WHAT?  He planned that before I planned to come home.  Besides, the less time I spend with him, the more I can with YOU and the rest of the family and other friends.

And no, the weekends he comes to see me at LEAST once a month, it's not just a booty call.  YES, we have sex, but you act as though I don't want it.  You act as if I do it ONLY so he can have it...I LIKE SEX TOO MOM!!!
"Well, I don't know why you'd want to degrade yourself like that" she says.
"How is that degrading?  I in no way feel that it is" I say back.
"I thought I raised you better" she says.
"You raised me perfectly fine mother, just I have different views than you"  I say back.
"What's that you said, you're just ignoring my good advice?" she says.
"No, I said I have different views" I say back.

STOP trying to get me to break up with him.  It's an equal relationship, and we have sex because we BOTH like it, not because he alone wants it.  And I'm not his second priority.  He had other plans and I'm not going to force him to break prior engagements just to hang out with me.

BACK. OFF.

TELL HER/HIM TO STEP OFF.

Note: I did not read this.

Man, don't listen to her.

How's your dad feel about it?

My dad doesn't approve, but it's not interfering with my school and as long as he doesn't hear about it...well, you get the idea.

He doesn't like it though that my mom is always making me upset by talking to me about my boyfriend like that...no one likes it.  But my mom is the kind that you can't make her see right.

Well, if you know that about her, just don't listen to her. It's your life, not hers.

I still do what I want...it's just shit she gives me a hard time about it EVERY time I come home, and it's one of those things where if people say it to you enough, you start to think it...then something happens and you feel like shit for starting to think that what she said may have truth when it doesn't.

Yeah, my parents do that to me about my boyfriend as well.

Honestly, I reckon the best way to handle it is to just avoid those confrontations. Leave when you know she's going to start, and when you start to think about it, just say to yourself "I have a wonderful boyfriend, she doesn't know what she's on about".

Yeah, generally I change topics or give short answers when I'm forced to talk about it so she realizes I don't want to talk about it.  Today was the most blunt I've been about it though.

Whatever, we've been together for over a freaking year, get over it already. (She was upset that I bought him a birthday present too...like WTF mom????)

Hahaha, I do that to my parents too.

Don't worry, she'll get the message.
