Every few days I pull all nighters. Then when I get halfway through the game I feel like absolute shit. I feel like I'm a walking corpse. And if I go to sleep in the day then the process will repeat because I won't be tired to sleep at night. And it never ends.

I pull all nighters because some nights I won't feel tired enough to want to go to sleep.

I probably have some sort of sleep disorder but this just suck monkey bawz.

You should go to sleep, and get up really early. Maybe have about 5 hours sleep? Then you might be tired enough to sleep that night.

Yeah, dw, I have the same thing.

I'm wide awake though, I don't feel like sleeping.

I only go to sleep when I'm about to pass out. I don't know why, but I just think that way. It's weird.

I'm usually up 20+ hours a day most of the week.

When I do sleep it's usually in the middle of the day, but only for about 4-5 hours.

Yeah I've tried taking Melatonin but I've gained a strong tolerance for them. I think I need something with a little more "kick".

i know exactly how you feel.

it's such a vicious cycle. you're up late, sleep late, then you're tired but by the time night rolls around you've only been awake a few hours.

but i hardly go to bed at a decent time if i'm just sort of tired. after years of having sleep problems i try and steer clear of trying to fall asleep in bed. time feels suspended, and i just end up stressing out about shit, and then i can't sleep because i'm stressed, but i'm stressing because i know i NEED to sleep to have an alright day

i've tried a few things in the past for sleep. amitryptilines (sp?) are good. they aren't actually a sleep aid, they're used as anti depressants and bladder suppresants (a bonus) and sleep is a side effect. you take them 12 hours before you want to wake up. they help your body get into a good routine pretty quickly, but that started to suck because i was waking up at 7am on weekends.

mellow things like ativan are good too...they help more for getting to sleep than for staying to sleep. and you feel nice and floaty.

mm it's 4:07 am

Side effects

Common side effects of using amitriptyline are dry mouth, extreme weight gain, drowsiness, muscle stiffness, nausea, constipation, nervousness, dizziness, blurred vision and insomnia. Some rare side effects include tinnitus, hypotension, mania, psychosis, anticholinergic effects, heart block, arrhythmias, lip and mouth ulcers, extrapyramidal symptoms, depression, and hepatic toxicity.

lol thanks but no thanks.

I pull all nighters but definitely not as regularly as you, I also often get really late nights and not alot of sleep...I know exactly what you're talking about, you seriously feel like death through midday. It is the worst when your in a bad sleeping pattern. I want to be back to early nights but its too freaking hard. I also usually only go to bed once I'm exhausted...even though I KNOW I could likely sleep earlier, I just don't do it. Like right now, I should be in bed but instead I'm on here and I know full well that I'm tired and could be sleeping but I'm not. It is such a crazy vicious cycle.

YES exactly!!!

I just do it more often since I'm at home with no job or college classes. I think until I get back on a regular schedule there will be no incentive for me to get back on a regular schedule. =[

I've been through the EXACT same situation...I started college now so its slightly better but its still not a normal sleep pattern. I've already missed some classes because of staying up too late.
