They wouldn't let us have the phone without an $800 deposit, because my dad has an old bill from yeears ago floating around somewhere, thanks to my mom. It just.. sucks. Ugh. And we can't afford to pay the deposit on top of the phone fee. And I really don't get it, because we have our home phone service with at&t, and we've been paying on time for about two year with them. I know it's stupid, but I'm really disappointed. Ugh. They have the ability to actually help you, where as Best Buy only has the ability to bring up an internal website and make an attempt at ordering it.
